Nigeria’s SendChamp raises $100k to develop user-friendly CRM for African businesses
SendChamp, a Nigerian startup, has raised $100,000 in funding to bridge the communications gap for African businesses, with the round’s close marking the public launch of the startup’s offering.
SendChamp, which was founded by Goodness Kayode and Damilola Olotu and has been in stealth mode for the last eight months, aims to improve customer relations for both technical and non-technical business owners.
The APIs provided by the startup enable users to deliver messages via a variety of channels, including SMS, WhatsApp, Email, and voice. The CRM solution, on the other hand, enables both developers and non-technical staff members to more effectively manage customer relations.
Local angel syndicates such as DFS Lab, Hustler Capital, HoaQ Club, and Velocity Digital participated in the US$100,000 angel round, as did angel investors such as Prosper Otemuyiwa, Samson Goddy, Merijn Campsteyn, Ayo Arikawe, and Lanre Ogungbe.
“We are overjoyed to have completed this round, which was supported by some of the most helpful investors in the African ecosystem.” As a company, we are dedicated to assisting African businesses in improving their customer relationships by developing the simplest solution on the market.
We have a lot more non-technical business people than technical people, and we are primarily building for them. “We want both technical and non-technical business people to be able to communicate effectively with their customers through multiple messaging channels from a single platform,” Kayode explained.
Despite the fact that the startup is still in private beta, SendChamp has already worked with companies such as TeamApt, Bumpa, Selar, Flux, and Edves to reach and engage customers. It has assisted these companies in sending over three million messages to over 300,000 customers in the last few months.
SendChamp intends to use the funds raised to further its product development and expand its team. The startup has also recently expanded into Kenya.
“On the continent, SendChamp is building the core communications layer of the digital commerce stack, and they’re leveraging no-code tools so that sellers large and small can easily manage their audiences and grow their businesses.” “This team has a world-class knack for customer-centricity, and DFS Lab is extremely excited to back a team that can execute at this level,” said DFS Lab partner Stephen Deng.
