Nigeria Digital Sense Forum on Internet Governance for Development (IG4D) Holds in Lagos
All is now set for the two-day 2013 edition of the Nigeria DigitalSENSE Forum on Internet Governance for Development (IG4D), holding at the Welcome Centre Hotels, Lagos between March 7 and 8 under the chairmanship of the chief executive, Condata Systems and former President, Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Dr. Chris Nwannenna.
Executive Director, Operations at DigitalSENSE Africa, the reputed organisers of the forum since 2009, Mrs. Nkemdilim Nweke, gave this hint in Lagos at the weekend, just as she outlined some key speakers billed for the Internet Governance for Development of Nigeria.
According to her, the Honourable Minister of Communications Technology, Mrs. Omobola Johnson would be the special guest of honour, while the Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Eugene Juwah and Director-General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Prof. Cleopas Angaye will lead the keynote speakers, just as the Lagos State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Adebiyi Mabadeje, will serve as the chief host.
Mrs. Nweke also confirmed that the president of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), Mrs. Mary Uduma and chief executive of the Internet Exchange of Nigeria, Mr. Mohammed Rudman, Executive Director of PIN, Mr. Gbenga Sesan and Digital Market expert, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr to name a few would be make industry presentations at the occasion.
The NDSF forum on Internet Governance for Development, she recalled is on its fifth year and her team is excited to have Dr. Nwannenna, the CEO, Condata Systems Limited to preside over the 2013 edition, Pointing out that Dr. Nwannenna is a product of Nsukka, Leeds and Sheffield universities, where he obtained the degrees of BSC, MSC and PhD respectively, while his studies spanned across Statistics, Computing and Control.
