Meta AI’s ‘Imagine Me’ Now Live in India—Generate Your Own AI-Powered Selfie Styles

On Thursday, Meta revealed that the Imagine Me feature would be available in India. Up until now, the artificial intelligence (AI) capability has only been accessible in the United States and a few other nations. However, when it spreads throughout the nation, Indian users will be able to create AI portraits of themselves in various settings, styles, and situations. The capability is accessible on all platforms using the Meta AI interface. Imagine Me is free to use, just like all the other AI functions that the chatbot offers.
You Can Now See Yourself in Various Styles with Meta AI
The social media behemoth from Menlo Park said in a news release that Meta AI’s Imagine Me feature would soon be available in India. One year after its first introduction in July 2024, the feature has now made its way to the nation.
In essence, Imagine Me collects the user’s facial information and then applies the same face in many contexts and styles using its personalization models. For example, if a user asks Meta AI to “imagine me as a 90s rockstar,” the AI will provide a picture of a person on stage with a guitar and the user’s face.
Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and the Meta AI app all support the feature. As of this writing, we have not observed it on iOS devices, however Gadgets 360 employees have noticed it on Android devices. Users will need to go through a brief setup procedure before photos are generated. The user must first access Meta AI’s chat interface, type “Imagine me as,” and then press Send.

After requesting users’ consent to analyze their facial data, Meta AI will open a bottom sheet and take many views of their face. Users will be taken to the chat interface after finishing. Following that, users can input “Imagine me as” and then any situation they want. The company offers a few examples, such as “on the moon,” “in a Renaissance painting,” or “wearing futuristic fashion.”
Notably, users are unable to create photos of other people using this capability because facial data is necessary. Adding more than one user is not possible with the setup process, which only appears once. Furthermore, there is no chance that the output produced by the feature will be mistaken for an actual image because it is not hyperrealistic.
