Kolomoni, Nigerian Digital Bank Bags Africa’s Most Innovative Investment Platform Brand of the Year 2022
At the Africa Financial Technology Congress, which took place on October 1, 2022, in Lagos, Kolomoni, a completely digital bank that offers financial services to the unbanked through its consumer banking platform, was voted Africa’s Most Innovative savings/investment platform.
Cintrust Microfinance Bank, a division of the integrated financial technology company CapitalSage Technology Limited, is the maker of Kolomoni. The company was established in 2014 as a microlender, but via the implementation of a cutting-edge business model centered on clients’ genuine needs and value generation, it has strategically developed and consolidated its business offerings.
Ilabeshi Gabriel, Group Head of Marketing and Communications at CapitalSage, spoke during the ceremony and hailed the honor as a success for the organization’s three-pronged strategy. He spoke. “This award is a privilege and, more significantly, it confirms our goal of becoming the premier fintech partner in Africa. Our flagship brand Kolomoni has been focused on these pillars at CapitalSage, which are financial inclusion, entrepreneurship development, and wealth building.
Kolomoni has developed from only a savings product to a completely digital bank that, on the one hand, offers Nigerians cutting-edge lending, bill-paying, and savings products. On the other side, with its Agent Banking Network, our agents serve millions of consumers throughout Nigeria and beyond while doing monthly transactions worth billions of naira.
Adding to the brand’s accomplishments, Mr. Ilabeshi said Kolomoni has worked with the federal government for its National Social Investment Programme and is advancing financial inclusion and entrepreneurship growth (N-SIP).
“By contributing the necessary POS terminal and technological infrastructure, we are honored to be a part of the N-SIP initiative and pursue our aims of entrepreneurship growth and financial inclusion. In order to help the recipient of the N-SIP make the most of the chances provided to them by the federal government, we also worked with SANEF to assist in training them in the field of agent banking.
