InGame Sports, Egyptian Gaming Startup Secures $1m Pre-seed Funding
InGame Sports, an Egyptian gaming and sports technology business, has raised approximately US$1 million in cash, in-kind assets, and grants in a pre-seed round to support its international growth and the introduction of new products.
A first-of-its-kind gamified platform called InGame Sports offers football fans the ability to anticipate results and win thrilling rewards.
The startup’s pre-seed round, which was managed by Openner, a worldwide VC that invests in early-stage internet firms, also included participation from Egyptian and foreign angel investors as well as well-known international sports brands like Sports Radar.
“InGame is created to empower and engage its users with unparalleled ways and experiences through new incentive programs. It seeks to deliver an innovative entertainment value to millions of football lovers in the region. According to Mohab El Tawila, managing partner of InGame Sports, “InGame seeks its stronghold incorporation in numerous ground-breaking interactive engagements that are exciting for football enthusiasts who have never been assembled in the gaming business before.”
In addition to planning to create add-ons built on Web3 technology infrastructure and integrate blockchain technology across its modules, the business wants to expand operations to a number of different nations in the future.
