Green Changemakers Challenge invites entrepreneurs from Africa to submit applications.
African companies have been invited to submit applications for the third Green Changemakers Challenge, a global innovation contest looking for products that give people the skills and mentality to help create a sustainable and just world.
The Green Changemakers Challenge, which is being run by Ashoka in partnership with HSBC, will fund initiatives that assist individuals and communities identify the part they can play in combating the climate catastrophe and ensuring that no one is left behind.
With a total prize pool of $225,000, the competition will give innovators grants of up to US$25,000 and the chance to go on a learning expedition with the HSBC and Ashoka teams.
It is looking for green changemakers who are building inclusive paths for individuals to contribute, crafting stories from data and information to motivate action, and building structures of support for already-existing solutions.
Up to 12 winners of the challenge will be chosen to reflect the variety of applications from the three main areas and geographical areas.
