Connecting Founders Applications for early-stage startups in Kenya and Nigeria are being accepted by Pitch2Win. Special advantages and equity-free subsidies up to $2,500 are available.
In addition to subsidies, Founders Connect gives businesses the exposure and business relationships they need to succeed. Another benefit is the funding.
This year’s offerings include $2,500 in equity-free awards and special benefits aimed at assisting entrepreneurs in growing.
Selected founders will have the opportunity to compete for up to $10,000 in funding from the African Impact Initiative and present to investors like Ingressive Capital.
Who Can Apply?
The competition is open to ambitious founders ready to take their startups to the next stage. While applications are open to all industries, special consideration will be given to women-led startups.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, startups must meet the following requirements:
- Less than three years old
- Tech-enabled (beyond just a website)
- Launched product with measurable traction (active users and/or revenue)
- Raised less than $1M in external funding
- High growth potential and scalability
- At least one founder is available to pitch in person at the semi-finals and finals in Lagos, Nigeria or Nairobi, Kenya
- Solves a challenge or addresses an opportunity within African markets
- At least one founder committed full-time to the startup
Startups outside of Nigeria and Kenya are welcome to apply, but they must focus on the main obstacles or prospects in African markets. In order to pitch in person at the semi-finals and finals in Lagos or Nairobi, shortlisted teams must also have at least one founder available.
