Digital Africa and Orange Ventures plan to jointly invest in startups
across order to support entrepreneurs from the “Orange Digital Centers” network across Africa and the Middle East, Orange Ventures and Digital Africa have pledged to co-invest.
The Orange Digital Centre is an ecosystem that is present in eight European countries as well as 17 countries in Africa and the Middle East. It unites a variety of free programs that are accessible to everyone in one place, including startup incubation and acceleration, digital training for youth, and investment in and support for project managers.
It provides assistance at every stage of the startup process in an effort to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the area.
The Fuzé investment program, currently managed by Digital Africa, enables early-stage companies operating in Francophone Africa to seek for up to $54,000 in equity finance from Digital Africa.
To enhance and expedite support for African entrepreneurs from the Orange Digital Centers, Fayçal Adlouni, managing partner of Orange Ventures, and Grégoire de Padirac, CEO of Digital Africa, inked a partnership agreement at Vivatech.
“The Orange Group is steadfastly dedicated to fostering the next generation of Middle Eastern and African technological leaders. Through this partnership between Orange Ventures, Orange Middle East and Africa, and Digital Africa, we will be able to pool our resources and build an ecosystem that will support the growth of entrepreneurs in the Middle East and Africa,” added Adlouni.
Startups interested in this new initiative are invited to visit the Orange Ventures website, the Orange Digital Centre website, and the Digital Africa website.
