Digify Africa Partners With Meta in Drive to Promote Digital Literacy Among Kenyan Youth
Digify Africa and Meta have partnered to provide an online training program designed to increase the level of digital literacy among Kenyan youth.
DigifyPro, the company’s digital marketing skills course, is intended to help them accomplish this.
The platform aims to give young people the digital competencies and skills they need to launch and advance their professions in the emerging digital economy.
Celestine Ukpere, the project manager for Digify Africa in Kenya, has noted that the program will assist jobless learners in becoming capable digital marketers with real-world expertise in social media, analytics, search, SEO, content, and user experience.
We are able to provide engaging and significant learning experiences by utilizing a blended learning strategy. The goal of the initiative is to upskill the upcoming generation of digital talent so they can take advantage of career and entrepreneurship possibilities around the continent,” the spokesperson stated.
The course will cover topics such as boosting a company’s online visibility, identifying their social media following, including WhatsApp into their marketing plan, producing content on mobile devices, comprehending the customer journey, and launching sponsored advertisements.
Furthermore assisting participants in gaining strong digital marketing abilities for usage on Meta platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram for Business are the practical, hands-on lessons, says Celestine.
According to the company, a significant portion of Kenyans still do not possess digital literacy, which has impeded the nation’s economic development.
Youth will use the internet to their fullest economic potential through the initiative, utilizing it to make up for lost opportunities.
Digify Africa is a youth-led organization that is leading the way in defining Africa’s digital future and is active in more than ten African nations, including Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria.
