As mobile phones especially the smartphones have gone from just a mere communication tool to a tool for professionals and fashion conscious people in the society, Blackberry brand of smartphones have constantly being very innovative in their array of products as they lead in Nigeria and a favored choice amongst the mobile population.
With the new Blackberry Torch 9810 released late last year, I see a great improvement in design, features, functionality and the performance which makes it another blackberry phone you must have. The first thing that will attract you to the Torch 9810 with touch hybrid QWERTY, is its high aesthetic value, the reflective silver mesh on its bold look makes it an article for showbiz, it really looks nice and makes you standout.
Then on a firm hold of it the body dimension of 111 by 62 by 14.6mm makes it fit into your hand conspicuously and not ready to slip off your hand any soon. The phone weighs 161g, just a good weight for a smartphone. It slides distinctively enabling the full QWERTY keypad and in a landscape form even without sliding it can also display the touch screen keypad. Yes, the large high resolution 253 DPI capacitive, a multi-dimensional, instantly responsive and intuitive touch screen makes it smart and interesting to scroll through the phone in a unique style. This makes reading and messaging great.
The phone runs on the blackberry 7 operating system with 1.2GHz processor, a 768MB and 8GB onboard memory supporting all types of media card of up to 32GB.It has 4 times HSPA and high speed connectivity of 14.4mps.These features make for significantly faster, more fluid and convenient web browsing with great social media experience. It opens web pages pretty fast, can download apps very fast too, and that’s one thing I enjoy with this phone though sometimes one experiences a freezing.
Other features enable geo-tagging, continuous auto focus face detection, image stabilization.
The 5.0MP camera produces very crisp and clear picture quality and supports HD video recording.
The only thing that usually limits ones experience like I have outlined here with this phone and other brands of Blackberry smartphones is the services of the Blackberry internet service providers in Nigeria which are not encouraging at all.
In summary, if you are thinking of a blackberry phone that can give you style, great functionality with high aesthetic value, and also a personal assistant, getting a bold torch 9810 won’t be a bad idea!
