Mrs Hadiza Umar hails from Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. She holds a bachelors degree in Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria. Since graduation in 1996, she has worked as a journalist with Today Communications limited, Publishers of TODAY Newspapers as the Woman Editor from1998-2001, (Late Abidina Coomassie); Public Relations Officer of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria from March 2001- September 2002 then moved to National Broadcasting Commission in September 2002- September 2009 when she assumed with National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), to head the Corporate Affairs Unit of the Agency.
