Applications Open for 7th MEST Africa Challenge with Focus on Fintech

The seventh edition of the MEST Africa Challenge, which aims to find and assist outstanding fintech entrepreneurs, is now accepting submissions from the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST).
MEST, a pan-African software and entrepreneurship training program, seed fund, and incubator that supports the establishment of technology firms throughout the continent, was established in Ghana in 2008 by serial entrepreneur Jorn Lyseggen.
The seventh edition of the MEST Africa Challenge, which gives winners US$50,000 in equity funding, focuses on fintech businesses developing solutions in value chain financing, digital payments, financial inclusion, and insurtech for the second year in a row.
The program, which targets startups in Botswana, Uganda, Mauritius, Seychelles, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, South Africa, and Ghana, gives them the opportunity to obtain US$50,000 in equity funding in addition to resources like platforms, tools, mentorship, marketing services, co-working spaces, and other offerings that aid in the growth of early-stage businesses.
