Applications Now Open: 5th Visa Africa Fintech Accelerator
Applications are now being accepted for the fifth iteration of Visa’s biennial Africa Fintech Accelerator, which gives businesses access to resources, industry contacts, and mentorship to help them develop their creative solutions. Visa is a global payment card network.
The Africa Fintech Accelerator, which started in 2023 in accordance with Visa’s commitment to invest US$1 billion in financial inclusion in Africa by 2027, has accelerated dozens of firms over four cohorts to date, and there are currently nearly 20 active collaborations.
Visa recently invested in two enterprises from the third program and provided strategic support to four firms that participated in the inaugural program in 2023.
The fifth iteration of the three-month program, which aims to offer funding opportunities, technology tools, and mentorship, is currently open to startups.
