Applications are currently being accepted for the 2025 Africa Carbon Removal Accelerator (ACRA) Program for CDR Startups in Africa.

Without carbon dioxide removal (CDR), Net Zero cannot be achieved. Africa may become a CDR powerhouse under the leadership of fearless entrepreneurs. Startups can realize this potential with the help of the ACRA program.

Accelerator Details
6-month program
Participate in the program run by CDR-focused professionals, such as the Net Zero Lab at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, the sus.lab team at ETH Zurich, and the team from remove, a leading CDR-focused accelerator program. The program, which is in collaboration with Strathmore University and the Nuvoni Centre for Innovation Research, will give you a thorough understanding of CDR and assist you as you pursue entrepreneurship in this field.
CDR-oriented community
While keeping Sub-Saharan Africa in mind, this program connects participants with top CDR buyers, verification organizations, tech and policy influencers, and financing experts worldwide.
You will have access to a vibrant and internationally interconnected CDR community as a participant. It only takes a click to connect, exchange expertise, and work together with important players in a diversified and enabling CDR ecosystem.
Incorporating local research
You will gain access to the latest research on CDR technologies that have the most promise for sustainable development in Sub-Saharan Africa as a program member.
