Application is now Open to African Food, Agri-tech Startups for the SAIS Investment Readiness Programme
Applications for the SAIS Investment Readiness Programme are being accepted from digital entrepreneurs looking to scale in Africa’s agriculture and food tech sectors.
The “Scaling Digital Agriculture Innovations through Startups” (SAIS) project, run by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the German Agency for International Cooperation, and co-funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, is the source of the Investment Readiness Programme.
It gives chosen food and agri-tech companies access to a year-long, specialized support program to assist them in raising capital and expanding. Personalized coaching sessions with regional and worldwide specialists, access to individualized online training, and other services like legal counsel, online marketing, and digital product optimization are all included.
Additionally, businesses will have access to the investor and partner network of the organizing team as well as a local hub or office space. Through networking, peer-to-peer learning, and enhanced visibility, it also provides unique support for female founders and women in executive roles of startups.
Applications may be submitted here through October 20.
