Application is now open for healthcare-focused African startup accelerator
Applications are now available for the second cohort of the AUDA-NEPAD Home Grown Solutions Accelerator, which aims to provide hands-on, highly personalized support to developing and mature-stage African healthcare enterprises in order to help them improve and flourish.
The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), in collaboration with Boston Consulting Group and Villgro Africa, is behind the program, which was conceptualized in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to realize the potential of local private sector solutions to strengthen the continent’s pandemic resilience.
It is currently extending beyond its original 2021 pilot in East Africa, where it aided Access Afya, Africa Healthcare Network, Damu Sasa, MSCAN, and Revital Healthcare, and starting cohort two.
Businesses must be for-profit, at the growth or mature stage, focused on boosting Africa’s healthcare system, and labeled as a “Home Grown Solution” to qualify.
Applications are open here.
