Call for Applications: Her Africa Early Stage Incubator 2026 for Young African Leaders
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026 cohort of the Alliance for Women and Girls’ (AFWAG) Her Africa Early Stage Incubator (HAESI). The goal of this fully funded incubator program is to assist early-stage social entrepreneurs who are creating businesses, organizations, or projects that promote gender justice and enhance the lives of African women and girls.
Her Africa Early Stage Incubator: An Overview
The HAESI program is more than just an incubator; it’s a leadership and ecosystem-building pathway that gives early-stage entrepreneurs the knowledge, insights, connections, and resources they need to change their organizations and address structural obstacles that affect women and girls throughout the continent.
Within a Pan-African peer setting, participants take part in a six-month leadership journey that emphasizes strategic growth, organizational resilience, teamwork, and community caring.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Applicants that fit the following requirements are eligible for this opportunity:
- Social entrepreneurs under 35 years old with leadership roles (founder, co-founder, or equivalent) in ventures or initiatives focused on gender justice across Africa.
- Founders of organisations or projects that have been operating for no more than three years, with demonstrated or intended impact on women and girls.
- Exceptional innovators at the ideation stage (with strong, early concepts) are also welcome to apply, provided their work aligns with the programme focus.
- Ventures may address issues such as education, health, gender equality, environmental sustainability, economic opportunity, and poverty alleviation as they relate to women and girls.
