To equip SMBs with AI, Google launches Hustle Academy 2025
Applications for the 2025 Hustle Academy, a free online course created to give small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya the resources they need to prosper in the digital era, have been made available by Google. A new season of the “Hustle Academy Brings You” speaker series, which provides direct access to the experiences of prosperous African entrepreneurs, is included in this year’s program, which focuses on AI-powered business training.
Given the importance of SMBs to the African economy, Google’s Hustle Academy seeks to solve the issues they encounter, such as a lack of specialized skills and restricted funding. In addition to teaching essential business concepts like strategy, finance, and leadership, the 2025 bootcamp will offer comprehensive instruction on incorporating AI into business operations, including topics like marketing and consumer interaction.
“We are excited to continue our commitment to empowering African entrepreneurs with the launch of the 2025 Hustle Academy,” said Kristy Grant, Head of B2B Marketing, SSA at Google. “We are strengthening our focus on AI-powered business training this year, allowing SMBs to take advantage of cutting-edge technology for expansion.”
Since 2022, the program has benefited over 15,000 SMBs, and the 2025 edition aims to substantially strengthen entrepreneurs’ ability to scale their enterprises. SMBs who qualify must be looking to expand and have been in business for at least a year. Expert mentoring, real-world case studies, and beneficial networking opportunities will all be provided to participants.
The new season of “Hustle Academy Brings You,” which features frank discussions with notable African business leaders like Brian Jura (Home 254 Apparel), Foluso Ogunwale (i-Fitness Gym), Nobukhosi Mukwevho (Khosi Nkhosi Fashion House), Yolanda Odida (Pure Purple), and Adenike Ogunlesi (Ruff ‘n’ Tumble), complements the bootcamp. These episodes, which are accessible on the Google Africa YouTube channel, provide priceless advice on how to launch profitable companies in the African market.
