In this interview, Funto Tade speaks about this project:
How has Envivo Communications been coping with the effects of COVID-19, and what initiatives have you introduced to ease education and digital learning?
Funto Tade: The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly disrupted many aspects of our lives, but it has also accelerated the adoption of digital solutions in education. At Envivo Communications, we’ve taken several steps to support educators, students, and professionals during these challenging times. One of our primary focuses has been on leveraging educational technology, or edtech, to enhance learning experiences.
Can you elaborate on how Envivo is using technology to enhance education and digital learning?
Funto Tade: Absolutely. We have rolled out a comprehensive Edtech platform that includes a variety of tools and resources designed to facilitate remote learning. This platform offers interactive digital classrooms, a vast library of online courses, and robust assessment tools to help educators track student progress. We’ve also incorporated features that support collaborative learning, such as virtual study groups and discussion forums. Our goal is to create an engaging and effective learning environment that can adapt to the needs of both educators and students during the pandemic and beyond. This platform has been adopted by a number of institutions like in LASU ODLRI, and Lagos state government civil service.
How important is working from home, and how do you think it will change the working landscape?
Funto Tade: Working from home has become crucial during the pandemic, not just for maintaining business continuity but also for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees. This shift has highlighted the importance of flexibility in the workplace. At Envivo Communications, we’ve embraced remote work by providing our team with the necessary tools and resources to stay productive and connected. We’ve seen that remote work can be highly effective, and we believe it will continue to play a significant role in the future working landscape. It offers employees a better work-life balance and reduces the need for commuting, which can lead to increased productivity and job satisfaction.
What challenges have you faced with training during COVID-19, and how have you addressed them?
Funto Tade: Training during the pandemic has been particularly challenging due to the need for social distancing and other safety precautions. We’ve had to transition all our training programs to online formats, which required a significant adjustment period. To address these challenges, we’ve invested in high-quality virtual training solutions that include interactive modules, video tutorials, and real-time support from trainers. We’ve also encouraged a culture of continuous learning and adaptability among our employees to help them navigate these changes effectively.
What do you see as the future of Learning Management Systems (LMS)?
Funto Tade: The future of LMS looks very promising. As more institutions and organizations recognize the benefits of digital learning, we expect to see continued innovation in this space. Future LMS platforms will likely be more personalized, using artificial intelligence and machine learning to tailor learning experiences to individual needs. They will also become more integrated, offering seamless connections with other educational tools and resources. At Envivo Communications, we’re committed to staying at the forefront of these developments, ensuring that our LMS solutions remain cutting-edge and effective in supporting lifelong learning.
