The feature tracker WABetaInfo recently reported that WhatsApp is developing a new feature that would allow users to submit their status updates to Facebook stories without ever leaving the app.
By enabling or disabling the functionality in WhatsApp Status settings, users may also choose whether or not they wish to broadcast their status in Facebook stories. The additional functionality will be added to the app’s status privacy settings.
A screenshot of the function discovered in the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.7.0.75 upgrade was also released by the tracker website. It displays a setting for turning on the opportunity to post status updates to Facebook stories, much like Instagram. Users will have to explicitly enable the feature because it will be disabled by default. Also, users have the option to disable the sharing of their status updates on Facebook stories at any moment.
Today, WhatsApp enables users to manually broadcast their status updates on Facebook stories each time they post something new. Without leaving the app, users will be able to share status updates to Facebook stories with the new functionality that is currently being developed.
The platform has recently been seen working on the capability to alter messages. The report states that an altered message will display a “edited” label that is visible to all chat participants. There is now a specific notice for altered messages in the TestFlight version of WhatsApp for iOS 23.6.0.74.
