Kodris Africa Announces M-Pesa Mini App to Improve Coding Skills in Kenya
Kodris Africa, an education technology firm, has partnered with Safaricom to promote coding education by purchasing annual lessons through the M-PESA app.
Customers can now use the M-PESA platform to purchase tokens that provide a year’s worth of coding lessons and then activate them on a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer for their children to begin learning how to program computers.
Kodris Africa is the provider of Kenya’s first government-approved coding program, which is now the most in-demand skill in the world.
It is classified as curriculum support material at KICD, but it is applicable to students in all modern educational systems. Pearson, the world’s largest education institution, has also accredited the program internationally.
“We are thrilled to be working with Kodris to provide more than 30 million M-PESA customers with access to learning solutions via the Kodris Mini App, which is now available via our M-PESA Super App.” This collaboration will allow Kodris to use our payment and IT solutions to innovate for their customers,” said Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa.
The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development has approved a coding education program, which is now being implemented across the country. The program is available online, and individuals can purchase licenses so that students with access to computers and the Internet at home can use it.
Kodris Africa also provides appealing school packages to ensure that students can access the lessons through highly affordable packages.
Mugumo Munene, CEO of Kodris Africa, stated that the collaboration with Safaricom would go a long way toward introducing the subject into Kenya’s educational system.
“The global digital revolution is changing the way people work.” “The skills that students will learn through Kodris Africa will be relevant today and tomorrow, allowing them to explore and unleash their creativity and innovativeness in a highly digitized and computerized world that offers opportunities for growth,” Munene said.
