Egyptian interior design startup, Shatablee completes $1.2m funding
Shatablee, an Egyptian digital interior design and home renovation startup, has raised US$1.2 million in funding to accelerate its national expansion.
Shatablee, founded in 2021 by Mostafa Amer, provides a 3D technology-powered digital platform through which users can build and customize home designs in less than 30 minutes and have the entire renovation completed in 90 days.
Users begin by selecting a unit type within their home compound and then browsing through a gallery of various design packages. They can then personalize the designs for each space within their unit, select from a variety of financing options, and place their order. Shatablee begins the build phase as soon as the order is confirmed, and the entire process is completed in 90 days.
The startup has now raised US$1.2 million in funding to help it scale its operations in Egypt.
“The sheer size and fragmentation of the market work in our favor.” “We believe that Shatablee is best suited to address the asymmetries faced by customers and professionals in the market, whether it is a lack of financing, a lengthy time to deliver that can take up to 12 months, a lack of price transparency, or the inadequate quality of houses created across many segments, particularly within gated communities,” Amer said.
