Mainone Offers Great Opportunity for Media and Graduate Trainees
From Cyberschuulnews and industry news (ATCONnews) this week, Main One Cable, Nigeria’s leading submarine cable earlier in the week launched a Global Video Connect, a product that will enable the distribution of live video content worldwide as well as enhance international media reach into key emerging regions.
MainOne in partnership with Tata Communications connects customers to an expansive local fibre network, creating a dedicated video network connecting to key broadcasters as well as production and post-production houses in Africa enabling them broadcast live television programs and to also store media content for subsequent access.
Ms Funke Opeke, CEO of MainOne in an overview said the company had reduced bandwidth costs by 80%, and was on its way to achieving the same through Global Video Connect.
In a related development the company is also creating opportunities for graduate trainees in its sales division. According to the company, its strategic growth projections has necessitated the creation job openings for young, bright and highly-motivated graduates ready to pursue a career in the company’s Sales Trainee Programme.
To qualify, candidate is expected to possess excellent oral and written communication skills; articulate and good reasoning ability; eagerness to learn and think out-of-the-box in addition to very good interpersonal skills.
Candidates must also be holders of first degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower in any field especially Technology. They must attain relevant IT certifications. Possession of MBA will be an added advantage and candidate must not have more than 3years post-NYSC experience. The press statement issued by the company also states that previous sales experience is not necessary.
