50 candidates were chosen for the Business Heroes competition in Africa in 2024.
The fifth iteration of the Africa’s Business Heroes initiative, a charitable program to assist African entrepreneurs, has chosen fifty finalists.
The Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy are supporting the Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) competition, a charitable initiative that honors and elevates African entrepreneurs.
Since 2019, ABH has given 10 worthy entrepreneurs a total grant of US$1.5 million year. In addition, the organization offers substantial exposure, mentoring, training, and networking possibilities.
Approximately 20,000 applications from all 54 African nations were received, and 50 finalists have now been chosen for this year’s competition.
“Our dedication to diversity is demonstrated by the expansion and increasing participation from crucial demographics in the ABH Prize competition over the previous five years. According to Africa’s Business Heroes Initiative managing director Zahra Baitie-Boateng, “This year, we are thrilled to recognize the exceptional talent and potential of the top 50 finalists, who embody the diverse entrepreneurial spirit of our continent.”
We are honored to showcase these innovators’ creative accomplishments as they pave the road for a better future for Africa and beyond. Simultaneously, we anticipate that ABH will continue to inspire African entrepreneurs and promote positive change throughout the continent.
