4 Egyptian startups have received cash prizes as a result of a corporate innovation program.
Following their selection as winners of the Techne Corporate Innovation Programme, four Egyptian startups have been awarded a total of US$40,000 in cash prizes.
Techne, a network of initiatives that supports tech and tech-enabled startup ecosystems throughout the Mediterranean region, launched its Corporate Innovation Programme in November, enrolling over 300 startups across four tracks: CleanTech, HealthTech, Real Estate Tech, and EdTech.
The program aimed to identify the most pressing challenges within each track’s markets, with startups working with renowned experts and entrepreneurs over a three-month period. Nine startups in each track advanced to the next stage, gaining access to mentorship and assistance with their specific needs.
Following a pitching session at a demo day, winners in each track were chosen. Clinido won the healthtech track, Flash Lead won the real estate track, Gmind won the EdTech track, and Cropsa won the cleantech track, with each receiving US$40,000 in prize money.
“We are thrilled to have launched the corporate innovation program.” We believe that the core of this program emphasizes the importance of connecting market belief for corporates and tech startups with high dynamics to solve emerging and persistent market problems, which leads to exponential sustainability and growth rate in the startup scene,” said Mohamed El Dallal, CEO of Techne.
