35 Female Entrepreneurs Graduate From Ecobank’s Ellevate Leadership Training Programme
35 female business owners from nine different African nations made up the first cohort that successfully completed the Ecobank Ellevate Leadership Training Program.
This program, which is impact-driven and innovative, is made to provide women entrepreneurs with the leadership skills they need to better themselves, their companies, and their communities.
The Commercial Banking Division of Ecobank developed the Ellevate Leadership Training Program, which is delivered by the Ecobank Academy in collaboration with the Global Business School Network (GBSN).
“At Ecobank, we are driven to build and actualize the huge potential of the female economy and support Africa’s female entrepreneurs,” said Josephine Anan-Ankomah, Group Executive, Commercial Banking. Simply having financial access is insufficient.
As a result, even though Ecobank offers sustainable finance, we continue to invest in providing a variety of non-financial interventions to support and expand women-owned companies across Africa. Our learning and development program for women, Ellevate Equip, includes the Ecobank Ellevate Leadership Program. It is fascinating to observe the varied benefits that Ecobank’s investment in empowering women entrepreneurs is yielding. We anticipate that our graduates will use their improved and new talents to innovate, expand, and have a beneficial influence on customers, staff members, other companies, and their communities.
The Global Business School Network’s chief executive officer, Dan LeClair, said: “At the Global Business School Network, we think business leadership capabilities contribute to economic development. As they invest in supporting the kind of business growth that results in job creation, they have a multiplier effect that benefits more people than simply the participants. The class we had the honor of instructing is what we are most proud of. They were just great; they were sincere, enquiring, serious, and involved. As a result, it was a pleasure for me to attend each session.
35 students from Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe made up this historic graduation class.
a strong team from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, information and communications technology, hospitality, education, and commerce, among others, who shown commitment and dedication throughout the program.
