23 Egyptian Startups Graduate From USAID’s Startups Accelerator Programme in Egypt
23 Egyptian startups have completed the third cohort of the Startups Accelerator Program in Egypt, as announced by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The three-month program, run by Plug and Play Tech Centre in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), and Egypt Post, aims to support Egypt’s entrepreneurship ecosystem by giving selected startups access to resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help them grow locally and internationally.
The most recent program, which started in June and ended earlier this month, gave 23 companies access to tools, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help them thrive in a constantly changing business environment. The program encompassed subjects including legal affairs, product strategy, the venture capital climate in Africa, and human resources that are pertinent to managing start-up businesses in a difficult environment.
